Happy Easter
We've been away over Easter with my husband's extended family - 20 people made up of Danes, Greeks, Swiss and a Norwegian - so it's been a very busy time with me in charge of catering. 
I asked everyone to bring a cake to help with the catering ... but they all brought 2! so we now have a huge pile still to eat.
The Swiss contingent brought the most fantastic Spunglii handmade egg/chocolates so with that and all the mini lindt eggs I bought I think we may all need a diet by the end of the week.

I had my craft stuff with me and did a demo/workshop for the Danish ladies - they were so excited as it was the first time any of them had ever made a card - and the youngest is touching 70. It was quite a challenge as I have no Danish and their Engish is a little limited - especially with words like glue, emboss, tap the stamp to the ink etc. 

Today's card  is a very simple one using pretty in pink, rich razzleberry, newsprint DSP and cottage gaden stamps.  I tend to go trhough phases(? obsessions)  of using a particular thing and at the moment it's the scallop die for my big shot.

I have been busy with some of my pre prder items from the summer mini catalogue and once I get photos taken I will start to upload them so you can have a sneak peak at what will be available soon.

EMBOSSED BABY BEAR This is clearly my favourite stamp set at the moment and I have been trying out lots of different colour combinations and techniques. Here are the finished cards and underneath I have done a step by step photo guide - which is a first for me. The bear is stamped in smoky slate and dapper denim, sponged in marina mist.  Bear is stamped in soft suede and early espresso and sponged with peekaboo peach. Here are my supplies all laid out First I stamped image no 2 of the stamp set on whisper white in pink pirouette. Remember to use your piercing mat or other foam pad underneath any photopolymer stamp sets so you get a good image. Then I stamped image no 3 of the set with melon mambo. It does take a bit of practice to line the stamps up so practice a few times first on scrap paper. I find it best to make sure the bear's bottom and the gap between arms and body are lined up. Angry Brids card in a box

I'm rather addicted to making these card in a box cards and decided to combine this with one of my other favourites - punch art. I've thrown a new matching stamp and framelit set called Just Sayin and word bubbles into the mix .These are some of the latest fab products from the Spring and Summer Catalogue. Flower Pot Cards

This week we are making flower pot cards using the soon to retire daisy delight stamp set and matching punch To make the card you need  A4 cardstock a 4in x 6 in piece of co ordinating designer series paper Cut your cardstock to 11inch x 3 inch and score at 4 1/2 inches and 9 inches on the long side. Make a pretty border on the 2 inch section using either a punch or edging die. Mark 1/2 in in from the bottom of the cardstock on both sides and cut to the top of the card to make the flower pot shape Glue patterned paper to the front of your card and then trim. Stamp a greeting if required on the edge.  Then use tear and tape or glue to secure the plant pot edge down. Use tear and tape to join the card at the top Make the insert - a 5.5 inch x 3inch piece with a neutral layer measuring 5 1.4 inch x 2 3.4 inch on top, This will be decorated at the top
